The January House
The January House
This home home on Odessa’s Main Street is called “The January House” – not for the month but the original landowner. His name wasn’t January, but rather Janvier, the French word for the month. After Thomas Janvier immigrated, however, the Huguenot did change his name to January. Now privately owned, the house was one of several saved by DuPont exec/preservationist H. Rodney Sharp as he created an enclave of historic buildings in the town.
